We will be having
Sadhana every first and third Sunday of each month. Sadhana is an early
morning spiritual practice. The 2?hours before dawn are considered to
be the ambrosial hours: a time for unparalleled spiritual refinement and
progress; therefore we decided to start Sadhana at 5:30 am. Sadhana is
a specific morning yoga and meditation practice that promotes spiritual
growth, tuning in to one's true self, and clearing the subconscious mind
to enjoy a beautiful day. There is a richness to this practice that everyone
should experience.
For those of you
who have never been to Sadhana, our Sadhana consists of Kundalini yoga
Kriya for awakening followed by 62 minutes of beautiful chanting meditation.
Traditionally, Japji morning prayer is recited before the yoga starts.
Those interested
in participating in Japji come at 5:30 am. The 30-40 minute yoga set will
begin at 6:00 am and the chanting will end at 7:45 am. Refreshments are
served afterwards. You are invited to join us for any part or all of the
Sadhana.
Bring a cushion or
blanket to sit on and a warm covering such as a shawl or blanket for your
comfort during the 62 minutes of chanting (We have spares if you forget).
A scarf or head covering is also recommended while meditating.
Please contact us
at least the day before so that the phone will not disturb the peace of
the morning.
